Russia once again massively attacked Kyiv, Ukraine

On the night of June 17, the Russian army launched one of the largest-scale attacks on the Ukrainian capital, employing 14 cruise and 2 ballistic missiles, along with 175 strike UAVs.

At least 27 locations in Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomyanskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the city came under fire. The most severe destruction was recorded in Solomyanskyi and Darnytskyi districts, where the enemy deliberately targeted residential areas.  

As a result of the strikes, residential buildings, dormitories, educational institutions, a service station, and warehouse facilities were damaged. In the Solomyanskyi district, the entrance a multi-story apartment building was completely destroyed.  

Currently, 15 people have been confirmed dead, and 99 others injured, including one child.

At the sites of the strikes, rescue workers, medical teams, investigative-operational units and explosives experts are working. All emergency services have been deployed to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
