Russians shelled Zaporizhzhia twice in one day, Ukraine

On February 26, at around 2 a.m., the occupiers launched at least 20 strikes on the city using Shahed-type strike UAVs, ballistic missiles, and guided aerial bombs.

As a result of the attack, ten residents were injured, including an eight-year-old child. All the injured received the necessary medical assistance.

Later the same day, at around 10 a.m., Russian forces carried out a second attack, striking near an educational institution. The impact occurred outside the building’s grounds, and no one was injured.

In total, more than 80 apartment buildings and private houses in three districts of the city were damaged. Two shopping centers, warehouse facilities, infrastructure objects, and vehicles were also affected.

Due to damage to engineering networks, more than 500 houses were temporarily left without heating; however, specialists managed to restore heat supply to homes by the morning.

Emergency responders quickly extinguished all fires at the strike sites. The aftermath of the attacks is currently being addressed. More than 200 people have already contacted specialists for assistance in restoring their homes.
