Overnight into August 12, Russian terrorists carried out a massive attack on the city using strike drones. Over the course of two hours, occupiers launched 15 Shahed-type UAVs at the territory of the city.
At around 01:40, a strike hit a residential area in the Central District of the city. The attacks damaged buildings, some of which were completely destroyed.
Two people were killed beneath the rubble of their homes. Two more residents sustained injuries of varying severity – a 46-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman. The injured man was taken to the hospital with blast injuries and burns covering 60% of his head, torso, limbs, and face.
