Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia twice during the day, Ukraine

On April 16, the city came under a double strike by Russian occupying forces.

During the day, the occupiers attacked the regional center with a drone, injuring a two-year-old boy. The blast wave damaged a public transport stop and eight apartment buildings.

At around 5:30 p.m., Russian forces carried out a second attack, using guided aerial bombs on one of the city’s residential districts.

As a result of this strike, one person was killed, and eight others – six women and two men – were injured. The impacts damaged a store, a church building, and other civilian infrastructure.

All the injured are currently under medical supervision. Emergency and municipal services are working at the sites to deal with the aftermath of the attacks.
