On November 1, 2026, a Russian UAV struck an area between a dormitory and an educational institution in the Koziatyn community during a massive enemy attack on the region. Internally displaced persons were living in the damaged dormitory building.
Two civilians were killed as a result of the strike. A 13-year-old girl died at the scene from her injuries, while another woman died at a medical facility.
Six people sustained injuries of varying severity, including four minors. Three five-year-old children and a 16-year-old boy were taken to the hospital. One of the five-year-old girls is in serious condition, and medical personnel are fighting for her life. A man and a woman with minor injuries are also under medical supervision.
Rescuers, police officers, medical teams, and municipal services continue to work at the impact site.
