On September 13, the Russian army attacked the Lviv region with strike UAVs. The main damage and impacts were recorded in the city of Stryi. No casualties or injuries were reported.
One of the UAVs struck an apartment in a multi-story residential building as residents were making their way to a shelter. The drone’s warhead did not detonate. People were promptly evacuated from the building, while explosive ordnance experts and investigators are working at the site.
Another strike hit an outbuilding of an educational complex that combines a school and a kindergarten. The building supplied the institution with heat and water, so classes will be moved to other schools in the city.
In addition, the fall of another UAV caused a fire in an unused building. The fire has already been extinguished. All emergency services continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
