Russian aviation struck an educational institution in Sumy, Ukraine

On the afternoon of 2 July, Russian occupiers launched a strike with three guided aerial bombs on the city’s civilian infrastructure. One of the bombs hit the building of an educational complex in a residential area.

The school building sustained extensive damage. Nearby private houses and a children’s playground were also heavily damaged.

A total of 11 residents, including three children, sought medical assistance. The children were diagnosed with acute stress reactions.

Emergency services are working at the impact site to assess the full consequences of the attack.
