Russian night attack on Odesa region damaged port infrastructure and residential areas, Ukraine

During the night of April 17, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on the Odesa region, targeting port, transport, and civilian infrastructure facilities.

As a result of the strike, administrative buildings, technical equipment, and containers were damaged. Residential areas also came under attack, with at least six private houses sustaining destruction.

Due to multiple impacts, fires broke out at several locations, including on the territory of the Danube Biosphere Reserve. Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine promptly extinguished all the fires.

No casualties or injuries among the civilian population have been reported.

Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the attack are ongoing at the sites.
