During the night of April 3, Russian forces attacked the city with strike drones and missiles, targeting the Osnovianskyi, Kyivskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts.
As a result of the attack, five people were injured, including a newborn child born in 2026.

Significant damage was inflicted on the city’s social, sports, and educational infrastructure. In particular, a city stadium and a hotel were damaged. A direct hit was also recorded on an academic building of one of Kharkiv’s leading universities. In addition, windows in numerous residential apartment buildings were shattered.
Municipal services and emergency response units are continuing to work at the sites to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
