On the night of November 14, around 9:00 p.m., the Russian army struck Odesa with ballistic missiles carrying cluster munitions. Additionally, approximately 25 Shahed drones were launched toward the city.
Air defense forces neutralized numerous enemy targets over the sea. However, several strikes were recorded on the city’s civilian and port infrastructure.
One missile, shot down over Kosmonavtiv Street, impacted three locations. Overall, the attack caused damage at seven sites.
Tragically, the detonation of the missile’s cluster components caused the death of a 35-year-old woman who was sleeping by a window during the Odesa attack. Currently, nine injured individuals are receiving treatment in hospitals. Among them is a 9-year-old boy, who is in moderate condition at the regional hospital. His parents are being treated at another medical facility in the city. Among the adult victims is a 22-year-old man in critical condition. The other injured have been hospitalized in medical facilities across the city and surrounding region, where they are receiving all necessary care.
As a result of the evening attack, a multi-apartment residential building in the center of Odesa was destroyed, leading to fires in several apartments. High-rise buildings were damaged, around 30 cars were affected, and fires broke out on the premises of a public facility and a two-story building.
The enemy shelling also damaged a main pipeline of the centralized heating system, leading to the temporary shutdown of a boiler plant. Repair work is currently underway. As a result, 220 apartment buildings, 7 kindergartens, 4 schools, and a maternity hospital have been left without heating.
All emergency services, including rescuers, utility workers, and law enforcement, are promptly working at the sites to address the aftermath of the Russian terrorist attack.
