Russian occupiers carried out a series of strikes on residential buildings in Kharkiv, Ukraine

On August 18, around 4:50 a.m., Russian forces attacked a multi-story residential building in the Industrial District of Kharkiv using five UAVs.

As a result of the strikes, five residents were killed, including two children – a one-and-a-half-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy. Another 20 people sustained injuries of varying severity, and medical teams are providing them with the necessary assistance.

The attack caused damage and a large-scale fire covering over 900 m², affecting the first, third, and fifth floors of the building. In total, six residential buildings and 15 vehicles were damaged.

Additionally, yesterday around 10:50 p.m., Russian armed forces launched a missile strike on the same district of Kharkiv. Eleven people were injured, including a 13-year-old child. More than ten multi-story residential buildings and five parked vehicles were damaged.

Rescue and emergency operations are ongoing at the sites of the strikes. Emergency services, together with law enforcement and volunteers, continue searching for people who may be trapped under the debris.
