On the night of March 16, Russian drones targeted residential areas of the city, damaging 16 buildings, including two apartment blocks and thirteen private homes.
Three residents were injured in the nighttime attack, including an 18-year-old man. All of the wounded received medical assistance.

The strike caused a fire, which was extinguished by rescuers, and left more than 7,500 households without power. Energy workers began restoring the grid immediately after the security situation stabilized.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. the same day, Russian forces launched a second drone attack on the city, hitting a private residential area. The morning strike killed one local resident and injured three others. Among the injured were a woman with a disability and a 15-year-old girl, who were pulled from the rubble by rescuers.

The attack caused significant damage to several private homes and sparked a fire, which was quickly brought under control by State Emergency Service personnel.
