Massive nighttime Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia killed a seven-year-old child, Ukraine

On the night of October 10, the occupiers struck the regional center. Around 1:00 a.m., the first wave of attacks was recorded using Shahed-type attack drones, followed at about 4:00 a.m. by strikes with guided bombs and cruise missiles.

As a result of the shelling, a seven-year-old boy was killed. His father, who was freed from Russian captivity earlier this year, sustained severe injuries. Doctors are currently fighting to save his life. Six other residents were also injured, including the mother of the deceased child. The medical staff have hospitalized the victims and are providing them with all necessary care.

Significant damage to residential infrastructure was also reported in the city, including 12 apartment buildings and 8 private houses. The strikes also caused disruptions to the gas supply due to damage to the infrastructure.

Emergency and municipal services are working on-site to inspect the damaged structures, address the consequences, and organize priority restoration efforts.
