At least ten Russian strikes hit Zaporizhzhia overnight, Ukraine

During the night of September 5, at around 2:30 a.m., Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Zaporizhzhia. The occupiers used Shahed-type attack drones and aerial bombs. At least ten impacts were recorded in the city.

As a result of the attack, a 69-year-old woman was killed, and ten other residents were injured to varying degrees, including a 16-year-old child. All the injured are receiving necessary medical assistance.

In total, eighteen apartment buildings and twenty-four private houses were damaged, along with several non-residential structures. One apartment building sustained significant destruction, while others suffered broken windows and damaged facades.

Due to the shelling, more than 73,000 consumers were left without electricity — over 67,000 in Zaporizhzhia and more than 6,000 in the Zaporizhzhia district.

Rescue teams, utility workers, medical personnel, energy specialists, and law enforcement officers are operating at the scene.
