On March 24, Russians attacked the central part of the city, killing a man and his 15-year-old daughter. The man had come to the maternity hospital to visit his wife after the birth of their son.
Eight other people sustained injuries of varying severity. Four of the victims, including a six-year-old child, were hospitalised. According to doctors, their condition is stable and there is currently no threat to their lives.
As a result of the Russian strike, buildings of both the city and regional maternity hospitals were damaged. Administrative buildings, three residential houses, and eight private vehicles also sustained damage.
