On June 3, at around 9:00 a.m., Russian forces launched at least six strikes with long-range multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) targeting residential areas and social infrastructure in the city.
As a result of the attack, at least six civilians were killed. About 24 more residents were injured, including three children. Eight victims are in critical condition.
Significant damage was sustained by private and apartment houses, a medical facility, warehouses, as well as garages and vehicles.
Rescue operations are currently underway, with all emergency services working under an enhanced regime. An operational headquarters has been established in the city to coordinate the response and manage the aftermath of this Russian terrorist attack.
