Today, on 30 August, at around 15:30, Russian forces struck the city of Kharkiv five times. The shelling was carried out by a Su-34 aircraft from the Dubove area, in Russia’s Belgorod region, which is located 25 kilometers from the state border.
One of the enemy’s guided bombs hit a 12-storey residential building in the Industrial district. According to preliminary data, 6 people were killed and 59 people were injured. The shelling caused a fire on the upper floors, and the building’s structure was damaged. Five cars were also set on fire.
Another hostile UAV struck a park in the Sloboda district of Kharkiv. As a result of the shelling, a 14-year-old girl was killed, and 4 people were wounded. In a separate attack, a hostile strike damaged 3 residential buildings, one of which caught fire, covering an area of 150 square meters and injuring 6 people. A warehouse on the territory of an energy company was also hit, resulting in 2 injuries.
Enemy ammunition was also recorded hitting the central part of Kharkiv, causing a grass fire.
In addition, the enemy attacked the town of Chuhuiv. Two enterprises, 7 cars, and 4 garage buildings were damaged. No casualties have been reported so far.
According to preliminary reports, at least five people, including a 14-year-old child, were killed in the strikes. Another 28 people were seriously injured. Among the adults: a 36-year-old woman – with traumatic arm amputation, a 42-year-old man – acubarotrauma, a 48-year-old woman – with a chest injury, a 70-year-old woman – an open limb fracture, a 25-year-old woman – left thigh injury. Among children: A 7-year-old child sustained an acubarotrauma, and another 10-year-old child had an acute stress reaction. Information about the other victims is currently being established. All victims are receiving medical assistance. Emergency services are at the sites of the shelling, and efforts to address the aftermath of the hostile shelling are ongoing.
