Russian occupation forces continue to attack populated areas of the Donetsk region. This time, the enemy shelled the city of Kostyantynivka twice.
On August 9, 2024, at 11:05 a.m., Russian troops launched an airstrike on the city of Kostiantynivka, initially using the Kh-38 missile. The hit took place in the local shopping center with grocery and hardware stores.
On the same day, the Russians again shelled Kostiantynivka with the multiple-launch rocket system “Smerch”, striking the private sector. The attack on the private sector damaged 6 private houses and a gas pipeline.
As a result of enemy attacks, 14 people died and 43 were wounded.
Law enforcement officers and rescuers are working at the scene, and the demolition of the debris is ongoing.
