During the afternoon of July 2, Russian forces targeted one of the city’s hospitals.
The attack claimed the life of a 63-year-old doctor, who was killed at his workplace. A nurse was also injured and has been hospitalized for further medical treatment.
A direct hit caused extensive damage to one of the hospital buildings. The roof, facade, hospital wards, and medical offices were damaged, while dozens of windows and doors were blown out. A fire also broke out on the hospital grounds but was quickly extinguished by emergency responders.
Emergency and other relevant services continue to work at the strike site to deal with the aftermath of yet another Russian terrorist attack.
