Russian occupation forces continue to attack populated areas of the Donetsk region. This time, the enemy launched a bloody attack on Pokrovsk, hitting two Iskander-M missiles.
On June 24, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., the army of the aggressor state launched a missile attack on the city of Pokrovsk. Half an hour later, the enemy attacked a second time on the front-line town. The invaders’ weapons targeted the private sector and civilian infrastructure.
As a result of the shelling, 46 civilians were injured: 5 people died, and 41 were wounded. Among the wounded are four children: a 12-year-old boy and three girls aged 9, 11, and 13.
Private houses and six cars were damaged, and one private house was destroyed.
All relevant services are working at the sites of missile damage. Efforts to address the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.
The wounded received medical assistance at a clinical intensive care hospital in Pokrovsk.
The municipal services of Pokrovsk are waiting for permission from the emergency services to examine the damage and deliver materials to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
