Two people killed in a Russian drone attack on Poltava, with a child among the injured, Ukraine

On the morning of March 24, Russian forces launched a drone attack on Poltava, with direct hits and falling debris recorded at four locations across the city.

The attack claimed the lives of two people, while twelve others sustained injuries of varying severity. Among the injured is a five-year-old child who is currently in intensive care. The child’s condition has been stabilized.

Significant damage was reported to residential buildings, including apartment blocks and private houses, as well as a hotel and several businesses. In total, 18 households and three educational institutions were damaged. Hundreds of windows were shattered, roofs were destroyed, and dozens of vehicles were damaged.

Emergency response headquarters have been deployed at the impact sites. Energy workers, municipal services, and representatives of humanitarian organizations are actively working on the ground. More than 25 units of equipment and hundreds of specialists have been involved in clearing debris, dismantling hazardous structures, and removing construction waste.
