On December 25 at around 12:20 p.m., the occupiers carried out a massive artillery attack on the city center.
The shelling hit the area of one of the local markets, where civilians were present at the time. The attack caused damage to infrastructure, including the destruction of trade stalls.
This Russian strike claimed the life of a 47-year-old market worker. He sustained injuries incompatible with life. A 50-year-old local resident was also injured.
Emergency services specialists continue to respond to the attack and document its consequences.
