On September 16, around midnight, Russian occupiers launched strikes on Zaporizhzhia using Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems. At least 10 impacts were recorded in the city.
As a result of the shelling, one person was killed, and 20 residents were injured, including four children. Medical personnel provided the necessary assistance, and some of the injured remain in hospitals.
Two districts of the city were hit – Komunarskyi and Shevchenkivskyi. Ten apartment buildings and 12 private houses were damaged. Several non-residential structures were also destroyed, including one where a fire broke out.
Fires at the impact sites were extinguished by the State Emergency Service units. Emergency restoration work is ongoing.
