Despite ongoing russian airstrikes and infrastructure damage, the organized evacuation of residents from the Korabel district has entered its fifth day.
Recent russian attacks damaged a bridge in the Korabel area – this has significantly complicated logistics. Delivering food or aid and accessing the area has become increasingly difficult. In response, regional and city authorities, together with the police and volunteers, launched a large-scale evacuation.
As of August 2, around 1,800 people were living in the Korabel district.
By 1:00 p.m. on August 6, 826 people had already been evacuated from the dangerous area – including 55 children and 90 people with limited mobility. All available vehicles are being used, including ambulances for those with movement difficulties.
People are met at evacuation points – they are assisted with paperwork and placed in temporary shelters with all necessary conditions: beds, showers, hot meals, medical care, and volunteer support.
Special attention is given to children and the elderly. Many residents, despite initial hesitation, are deciding to evacuate as the situation worsens. Those who leave the danger zone receive support at every stage – from transport to accommodation.
