At around 15:00, Russian forces launched a missile attack on the centre of Zaporizhzhia.
As a result of the strike a business centre was destroyed. The private clinic and high-rise buildings were damaged. In the educational institution nearby, the blast wave shattered the windows.
Four people were killed and twenty injured – these are the preliminary consequences of the enemy shelling. 13 people are hospitalized, among victims is 5-year-old girl, who received medical aid on the spot. Doctors managed to resuscitate one person who was initially presumed dead.
All operational services are involved to address the aftermath of the strike, including rescuers, police and medics. At least six people may be trapped under the rubble of the destroyed building. A search and rescue operation is ongoing. Psychologists are providing assistance to people whose loved ones may be under the rubble.
Law enforcement agencies are currently establishing the type of weapon the Russians used to attack the city.
