On November 7, at around 22:00, the occupiers attacked the Krasnopil Lyceum with three UAVs. The attack damaged the lyceum building, about 20 households, 15 residential buildings, administrative offices and the premises of a private company. There were no casualties.
However, the following day, at around 15:30, when the aftermath of the air strikes were underway, Russian terrorists struck the school again with a KAB bomb. As a result of the enemy air strike, a woman was trapped in the rubble and was subsequently rescued.
“Unfortunately, one of the region’s best modernized schools has been destroyed. Staff and teachers were salvaging what remained. Efforts to address the aftermath are ongoing. The Russian military is destroying everything that is both the spiritual and material foundation of our communities”, — wrote Hennadii Demianenko, head of the Sumy District Council.
