On 25 September, around 11PM, the enemy shelled a residential area in the city of Zaporizhzhia. This is the fourth consecutive night that Russians have been targeting civilians in Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, ten people were wounded, including a 14-year-old teenager. Seven apartment blocks and over 15 private houses were damaged. The damage assessment is still ongoing.
As a result of the Russian attack, 10 people were injured.
After receiving first aid, most of the wounded declined hospitalization. A 25-year-old man, who was seriously injured, remains in hospital.
He sustained a mine-blast injury, liver, diaphragm and lung damage. He underwent surgery and is currently under intensive care. His condition is critical but stable. Doctors are continuing to fight for his life.
The aftermath of the hostile shelling is being addressed by utility services, rescuers, law enforcement agencies and volunteers. They are inspecting buildings, boarding up windows with OSB panels, and documenting Russian war crimes. Over 150 residents of Zaporizhzhia have reported the destruction of their homes. Efforts to clear the rubble are ongoing.
